  • People will hear from God in our support meetings and understand the need for the USCWM and INSIGHT
  • Time Management: the ability to work hard at raising support while also working with INSIGHT full-time.
  • Continued diligence and discipline in our walks with the Lord.
  • God’s provision in this time of dependence on Him
  • More contacts and more commitments to our ministry teams
  • That we will follow the Lord’s guidance in all aspects of life

Praise God for those who battle with us in prayer!

Here is a quick update on what is going on at INSIGHT. A reminder about our roles: My main role is helping run and coordinate the local Pasadena INSIGHT program. I am involved with the students spiritually and academically. Melissa's role is with the National Office of the INSIGHT program. She overseas the growth and development of the various locations across the U.S. Check out the website for more details on other locations.

This year's INSIGHT program is off and running ... fast. We can't believe this is week 4 already. Students here in Pasadena are stressing about the workload and the academic requirements coming up: a midterm Monday, Final in four weeks, first paper in four weeks. They are thrown into so many hard issues from the beginning. After coming out of sciences and exploring the different views of Creation, they are studying the Old Testament, its religions, culture, and history.

*Pray for the 15 students enrolled in the Pasadena INSIGHT program. Specifically that they would be open to what God is teaching them and they would catch the vision of reaching all peoples with the gospel. Also pray for their ability to find rest and to have the diligence to prepare properly for the academic strain.
*Pray that God will guide us in our relationships with the students, that we would be able to speak truth into their lives and be good role models for them as World Christians.
*Pray for us that we would be renewed and strengthened in our knowledge and understanding of our God.
*Pray for the expansion of the INSIGHT program to locations across the U.S. Locations attempting to start within the next few years: Detroit, MI; Seattle, WA; Gainesville, FL; Durham, NC. *Pray for the program that started in Ohio, that the community would catch the vision and the program would flourish. Pray for us as we visit this location at the end of September.

Hello,
It has been hard to keep this updated as we have been traveling so much. I have built time into my schedule to update you and to blog, so you should have a steady stream of info if you desire to keep up with us. Our trip back to NC was fun and a lot of work. It was good to see family and friends and be able to invite more people into the ministry God is working through us. Keep praying that our funding comes in completely so we are able to concentrate on our efforts to train and mobilize these college students. I haven't compiled an updated version of the initials of names to pray through, hopefully in a future email I will get that together for you. INSIGHT is gearing up. We have just finalized the admissions process and have 16 students coming in a few weeks. For our type of program (small group, discussion based socratic learning), 8 - 10 is ideal. We surpassed our recruiting goal and will have a large class. Melissa and I will be discipling them as well as be involved in their academics. We are getting small groups set up, mentoring set up, orientation and field trips together. Pray for these students as they enter a intense season in their academic, spiritual and missional lives:
